The Health Care District Receives a Generous Donation of Medical Supplies from The School District of Palm Beach County
Medical and support staff at Lakeside Medical Center and the Edward J. Healey Rehabilitation and Nursing Center are the grateful recipients of much needed supplies donated by The School District of Palm Beach County’s Medical Academies in response to the COVID-19 crisis. The generous shipment of over 75,000 gloves, 750 gowns, 50 shoe covers and 35 N-95 masks and other protective gear will help serve patients and residents at both the Health Care District’s skilled nursing home in Riviera Beach and rural, acute-care teaching hospital in Belle Glade.
“We are thrilled to receive these donated supplies thanks to The School District of Palm Beach County,” said Karen Harris, VP of Field Operations at the Health Care District. “These supplies are in great demand and our medical team will use them to help manage the COVID-19 crisis safely and effectively. We thank The School District of Palm Beach County and Superintendent Dr. Donald E. Fennoy II for their support during this time of great need.”
The medical supplies were delivered on April 8th to cheering, thankful medical staff at Lakeside Medical Center and the Healey Center. #heroesworkhere
