UPDATE: The Health Care District of Palm Beach County has been monitoring the latest information and guidelines on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in coordination with the Florida Department of Health (FDOH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).  The Health Care District and its health facilities have taken a proactive approach to ensure that required preparations and protocols are in place to provide timely, safe and quality care for our patients.

Due to the ongoing medical crisis, the Health Care District is activating the following emergency plans at our facilities:

  • C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinics: To better serve our primary care clinic patients, protect our staff and preserve Personal Protective Equipment like masks, gowns, goggles, etc., the Health Care District is operating only the highest-volume C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinics in West Palm Beach, Lantana, Delray Beach and Belle Glade.   On Monday, March 16, the Health Care District temporarily closed the Lewis Center, Boca Raton, Lake Worth, Mangonia Park and Jupiter C. L. Brumback Clinics for 30 days. Patients who were scheduled at those clinics were called, assessed by a provider and their appointments were rescheduled at one of the open clinic sites or for future dates if appropriate.  Patients can call 561-642-1000 to speak to a provider between 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday.

o   C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinics COVID-19 Testing Pilot Program

§  The Lantana Clinic and Belle Glade Clinic are piloting outdoor testing for patients who have been pre-screened by a C. L. Brumback Clinics provider and have an appointment. On March 16th, the C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinics began testing our patients for COVID-19. The Lantana Clinic was chosen for its central location on the county’s eastern coast and the Belle Glade Clinic was selected to serve the rural, western Glades communities.

§  Those interested in testing for COVID-19 should call their primary care physician FIRST and ask their doctor to screen and test them for COVID-19 if they determine that testing is warranted based on CDC guidelines. Those who do not currently have a primary care physician can call the C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinics’ appointment line at 561-642-1000 to register to become a patient and be screened over the phone by a provider.  Existing C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinic patients can also call the Clinic directly at 561-642-1000 to be screened over the phone by a provider

§  Providers will then determine which patients are appropriate to receive an appointment for testing and those patients will be scheduled at the Lantana (east coast) or Belle Glade Clinic (western community) locations

§  The Clinics are prepared to handle more patients if additional testing kits become available.
