As of 7/7/2023: Standards for the Appropriate Use of Facial Coverings for Infection Control at the

Edward J. Healey Rehabilitation and Nursing Center

Health care providers, contractors, students and volunteers are no longer required to wear facial coverings. Facial covering may be encouraged for anyone that is exhibiting signs or symptoms of or has a diagnosed infectious disease that can be spread through droplet or airborne transmission. Health care providers, contractors, students, visitors and volunteers have the right to Opt-Out of wearing facial coverings. Health care providers will be required to wear facial covering when: conducting sterile procedures, working in a sterile area, working with a patient that has been diagnosed with or confirmed of having an increased risk of transmission of an infection and the practitioner has determined the use of facial coverings necessary for the patient’s safety or with a patient is on droplet or airborne precautions.

The new Edward J. Healey Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a 120-bed facility which opened in 2013, provides top-quality short-term and long-term rehabilitation and 24/7 skilled nursing care for eligible adult county residents.

We are a non-profit facility, funded and operated by the tax-supported Health Care District of Palm Beach County as part of its mission to provide access to quality health care services to residents.

The staff at the Healey Center proudly serve that mission of providing healing and hope. They are committed to helping each and every resident reach and maintain their optimum possible level of functional and social ability.

The Center provides rehabilitative, social, and quality-of-life activities, including entertainment within the facility and trips to outside events, restaurants, and other activities.

The Center accepts private pay, Medicare, and Medicaid.

 The Health Care District of Palm Beach County marked the centennial of the Edward J. Healey Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on April 11th, 2018.
The Healey Center provides top-quality short-term and long-term rehabilitation and 24/7 skilled nursing care for eligible adult county residents.

 

Directions

From I-95

Exit at Blue Heron Blvd., drive west for 0.5 miles, cross Military Trail, make first left into the campus.

From Florida’s Turnpike

Exit at PGA Blvd. (Exit 109). Left on PGA Blvd., east to Military Trail, turn right and drive south to Blue Heron Blvd. Turn right and make first left into the campus.

If you have SunPass: Exit at SR 710/Bee Line Hwy. (Exit 107). Turn left onto Bee Line Hwy. and drive south for 1.9 miles. Turn left onto Blue Heron and make the second right into the campus.

The Healey Center is located in the Pointe West campus in west Riviera Beach. You may enter the campus from Blue Heron Blvd. (north), Military Trail (east) or Bee Line Hway (south). Kindred Hospital is also situated in the campus. The VA Medical Center is just across Blue Heron Blvd. to the north.
