At the Board of County Commission meeting on November 5th, 2019, Commissioner Melissa McKinlay, along with Palm Beach County Mayor Mack Bernard, presented an official proclamation to the Health Care District of Palm Beach County and Lakeside Medical Center to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the rural, teaching hospital in Belle Glade.

Lakeside Medical Center marked its first decade as the heart of healthcare in the Glades with a free, community-wide celebration on Saturday, November 9. The celebration featured the grand opening of the new C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinics inside the hospital, which provides medical, dental, pharmacy and behavioral health services for adults and children – all under one roof.
The proclamation recognizes “Lakeside Medical Center on the occasion of its 10th Anniversary of providing residents and visitors in rural, Western Palm Beach County with safe, quality hospital care.”

Janet D. Moreland, Hospital Administrator, publicly thanked the Commission for the recognition and invited them to the event.
“It’s an honor to have grown up in the Glades and today provide key, safety net services in the Tri-Cities as part of the Health Care District of Palm Beach County,” Moreland said.  “I’m proud to lead our acute care, teaching hospital as we advance safe, quality care for our rural, western communities.”
