Teams Donate Over $100,000 to Support Mental Health, Heart Health, Education, Housing and Food Security

West Palm Beach, FL – The Health Care District of Palm Beach County and the District’s board of commissioners recognized the generosity of the healthcare system’s 1,400 employees.

As part of the District’s annual employee giving campaign and back-to-school drives, District team members contributed more than $103,000 to four local nonprofit partners: NAMI Palm Beach County, the Palm Beach County Heart Walk, the Homeless Coalition of Palm Beach County, and the Palm Beach County Food Bank. Representatives from each organization attended the meeting to accept the checks.

Health Care District employees also rallied together to donate 859 pounds of food for the Palm Beach County Food Bank, enough to provide over 700 meals, and nearly $6,000 in school supplies for the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County.

“Caring for all is at the heart of our mission,” said Darcy J. Davis, President and CEO of the Health Care District of Palm Beach County. “I am proud to lead such passionate team members whose commitment to public service and altruism extends even farther than the exceptional care we provide to patients every day.”
