Florida Crystals and Hundley Farms Donate Locally Grown Food to LMC Staff
We would like to thank Florida Crystals and Hundley Farms for their generous donation of locally grown rice, sweet corn and Florida Crystals® Organic Raw Cane Sugar to members of Lakeside Medical Center’s medical and support staff.
“We are grateful to Florida Crystals Corporation for donating this fresh food for each of our dedicated hospital employees who have been working long hours to provide safe, quality care during this pandemic,” said Commissioner Tammy Jackson-Moore, who represents the Glades region on the Health Care District Board and also serves as a Glades community advocate. “These locally grown items will help nourish our staff and their families.”
“We’ve been blessed to be part of the Glades communities for the past 60 years, so it’s meaningful to have opportunities to give back,” said Caroline Villanueva, Florida Crystals’ South Florida External and Community Affairs Manager. “We are so grateful to all of the healthcare professionals at Lakeside Medical Center who have given so selflessly to care for our community members during this crisis.”
“This generous donation promotes the well-being of our employees as well as their families,” said Janet D. Moreland, ARNP, MSN, LHRM, Lakeside Medical Center’s Executive Director. “We appreciate Florida Crystals Corporation supporting the health of our staff as they care for the health of patients in the Glades.”
