The Health Care District Welcomes the County’s New Fire Chief to the Trauma Hawk Aeromedical Hangar

Darcy Davis, Health Care District CEO and Belma Andrić, MD, MPH, Chief Medical Officer welcomed new Fire Chief Reginald Duren and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue personnel to the District’s aeromedical hangar on May 20th.  Gerry Pagano, Director of Aviation Operations provided a tour of the facility and the District’s FAA-certified Trauma Hawk air ambulances. The Trauma Hawk flight team includes at least one commercial instrument-rated pilot with the Health Care District and medical team members with Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. In 2018, the Trauma Hawk aeromedical team conducted safe, expedited transfers of 390 trauma patients from the scene and between hospitals.
