Health Care District Continues to Address the Opioid Crisis
Darcy J. Davis, CEO of the Health Care District of Palm Beach County and Kenneth Scheppke, MD, Medical Director of the Health Care District’s Aeromedical Program and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue joined Dave Aronberg, State Attorney for Palm Beach County in “The Frontline of the Opioid Crises” panel discussion as part of the 2018 Leadership Florida class’ visit in November. The panelists examined the causes and effects of Palm Beach County’s opioid epidemic as well as how the Health Care District’s innovative Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program is helping restore the overall health and lives of patients with substance use disorders.
