Health Care District Recognizes Three Outgoing Brumback Clinics’ Board Members

The C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinics’ Board of Directors recognized three outgoing members at its public meeting on December 12, 2018. Bessie Brown, Chair, David Kendle, former Chair and Frances Navarro, Treasurer, provided six years of volunteer service from January 2012 through December 2018.

Ms. Brown, now retired, spent more than 27 years as a Buyer, Payroll Technician, and Accounting Specialist at the City of Riviera Beach in Florida. She is a Certified Trustee of the Florida Public Pension Trustees Association (FPPTA).  Ms. Brown has been a volunteer at the Riviera Beach Resource Center, Bridges of Riviera Beach, Children Services Council of Palm Beach County and Riviera Beach Park Manor Neighborhood Association.

Mr. Kendle is also retired after more than 35 years working as a health care professional in the state of New York where he is licensed respiratory therapist.

Mrs. Navarro is retired from the health care field. She volunteered for more than 30 years for several local agencies, including the Palm Beach County Health Department. She also served as a patient advocate for members of the Hispanic community.

“We congratulate and thank these Board members for their dedicated service to our primary care clinics and the patients we serve,” said Darcy J. Davis, CEO of the Health Care District of Palm Beach County.  “Their leadership has helped expand access to care for adults and children in our community.”

“It is an honor to recognize each of these Board members for their respective years of volunteer service and leadership,” said Belma Andrić, MD, MPH, Vice President & Chief Medical Officer and Executive Director of Clinic Services for the Health Care District. “Their guidance over the past six years has been instrumental in strengthening our county’s health care safety net.”
