Two Health Care District Nurses are Recognized as “Heroes in Medicine”

Two Health Care District of Palm Beach County nurses were recognized April 20th at the 15th annual Heroes in Medicine awards event held at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach.  Antonio Artero, RN, School Nurse with the Health Care District's School Health program was honored in the "Health Care Provider" category and David Summers, RN, CFRN, EMT-P, Trauma Nurse Outreach Coordinator with the District's Trauma Agency was recognized in the "Health Care Educator (Hospital/Non-Profit)" category. The 2018 Annual Heroes in Medicine Awards honors local individuals and organizations who provide extraordinary services that address or have responded to health care needs in the county, the nation, or around the world. About 500 guests attend the event which is hosted by the Palm Beach County Medical Society.
