The Edward J. Healey Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and the C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinics are teaming up to provide dental care on-site at the Healey Center in Riviera Beach for residents whose health conditions limit their ability to travel to one of the clinics.

John N. Cucuras, DDS, Brumback Clinics Dentist, helped develop this new program and is the current dental provider for the Healey Center residents. Thanks to the support of the Health Care District’s IT Department, the dental staff has access in this room to the Clinics’ Electronic Health Records system.

The Healey Center, operated by the Health Care District of Palm Beach County, provides top-quality, short-term and long-term rehabilitation and 24/7 skilled nursing care for eligible adult county residents. The C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinics are also operated by the Health Care District and provide quality medical and dental care to adults and children, with or without insurance.

Once a month, a dentist and dental assistant with the Brumback Clinics visit the Healey Center to provide general and preventive dental care such as teeth cleanings. To bridge this need for dental care, the Healey Center has designated a specially-equipped room in the 120-bed facility where these residents receive dental services.
