Pam was recognized in May by the Palm Healthcare Foundation at their annual banquet, and Lakeside chose also to recognize her at the hospital among her peers.
Pam was nominated by Brandy Seider, RN, BSN, CNOR, Assistant Nurse Manager, Surgical Services who said, in part:
"...She goes above and beyond to make our outpatient surgery patients and clinic patients feel as if they are getting first class care.... Not only does she run our Outpatient Surgery department and General Surgeon's clinic, but she also teaches our ACLS, BLS, and PALS classes...
Pam is one of the good guys. She saw a need in our little community after a tragic loss of an infant to SIDS and took it upon herself to offer monthly classes for anyone in the community interested in learning CPR. She volunteers her services to Ella's Closet, a fabulous organization that was formed in honor of the infant.... If only we could clone "Miss Pam"; what a lucky group we would be. ... She is what we should all strive to be when it comes to patient interaction and satisfaction."
Rick Roche, Hospital Administrator, presented Pam with a dozen roses and a commemorative clock with his sincere thanks for "everything Pam does for Lakeside Medical Center and our community."
