Nancy L. Stockslager, RN, MSN, CPHIMS, VP and Chief Information Officer
Nancy L. Stockslager was named the Chief Information Officer for the Health Care District of Palm Beach County in December 2019. Previously, Ms. Stockslager was Senior Director of Applications and Clinical Informatics Officer at Gwinnett Health System in Georgia with oversight of 60 FTEs and over 400 applications within a multi-hospital organization.
As Chief Information Officer, Ms. Stockslager provides leadership for the continued development of an innovative, robust, and secure information technology environment throughout the Health Care District’s diverse programs. She is responsible for the organization’s IT infrastructure that includes applications, telecommunications, security networking, server administration, systems analysts and Help Desk services. Ms. Stockslager oversees the Health Care District’s IT Department which supports a nationally-recognized trauma system, a skilled nursing facility, a rural teaching hospital, a school health program, and primary care and dental clinics that operate as Federally Qualified Health Centers.
Ms. Stockslager has over 20 years of experience as a healthcare executive leader with IT governance and enterprise system implementation expertise. She has a Masters in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Kentucky and worked as a bedside nurse with neonatal intensive care and pediatric patients. Ms. Stockslager is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information Management Systems (CPHIMS), also a graduate of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives CIO Bootcamp.
Her professional affiliations include the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), the Association for Executives in Healthcare IT Applications (AEHIA), and the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS).
