In 1988, the Health Care District of Palm Beach County was established by the Palm Beach County Health Care Act to provide quality, accessible and affordable health care services for Palm Beach County’s medically needy.
The District Cares Voucher program, launched in 1993, joins eligible residents with specialty medical services and providers to maintain health or manage a health issue. Benefits may include access to comprehensive health care services that consist of routine preventive care at our C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinics and specialty physician services, inpatient hospital care, outpatient surgery, prescription drugs, diagnostic services and more.
Members have access to participating specialists through a referral from their Health Care District C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinic Provider. The Health Care District of Palm Beach County has engaged Community Care Plan (CCP) as our third-party administrator (TPA) for our District Cares' Voucher Program administering program providers' contracting, credentialing, claim and provider services.
