Respiratory therapy is for patients who have trouble breathing. In South Florida, our hot and humid weather can sometimes cause health problems. Other patients are born with respiratory problems and need treatment to manage a chronic medical condition. Diagnosis like asthma, emphysema and allergies are just a few conditions that can result in breathing problems. Also, serious illnesses like cancer, heart attack and stroke often require breathing supports.
