District Cares Program
The District Cares Program joins uninsured eligible residents of Palm Beach County with services and providers to maintain health or manage a health issue. The program is available to individuals and/or families who are not eligible for any other public assistance health coverage program and who meet income and residency requirements.
Who is Eligible?
When applying for the District Cares Program, information documenting the following is required:
- Proof of Palm Beach County residency
- Personal Identification
*Qualifying applicants must have an income equal to or less than the allowed percentage of the Federal Poverty Level Guideline Federal Poverty Level Guideline (PDF 170.7KB).
Residents who are potentially eligible for Medicaid should apply and receive a denial before submitting an application for enrollment in the District Cares program. Residents who receive Medicare Parts A and B benefits are not eligible for District Cares. Medicare recipients who are in need of prescription drug benefits should apply for Medicare Part D.

Please review the online instruction documents that will assist you in the completion of the application. You may also obtain an application and get assistance from District Cares program staff at one of our Eligibility Offices located throughout Palm Beach County.
