Chris Irizarry shares Health Care District's accomplishments at Company A meeting

This week Christopher F. Irizarry, MPA, Vice President and Executive Director of Clinic Services shared several stories of life-saving care with 60 members of the men’s fraternal organization, Company A, at the group’s weekly meeting in Delray Beach.

In his presentation, Mr. Irizarry explained how despite growing health care costs nationwide, the Health Care District of Palm Beach County, a public health care system, has strengthened the county’s health care safety net while keeping costs to taxpayers stable.

Dr. Stanley Pierce, a member of Company A and former Health Care District Board Chair, requested that the Company A members be updated on the Health Care District’s programs.

Company A is a fraternal organization of Jewish men that was established in 1989 in South Florida. Its objective is to maintain and expand friendships, and to broaden their understanding of world culture and events.

At the Company A meeting, Mike Wasserman, Chairman Emeritus, thanked Mr. Irizarry for educating the group about the positive impact the Health Care District is making in the community, especially for the underserved who might otherwise be unable to access health care services.

Mr. Wasserman praised Dr. Pierce and fellow Company A member Harold Ostrow, who also served as a Health Care District Board Chair, for their leadership and achievements during their respective terms on the Board.

As part of his presentation, Chris shared the story of Antonio Artero, RN, School Nurse at South Grade Elementary School in Lake Worth, who assisted a family in getting a wheelchair for their child.
